Unknown provenance, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm a little torn about this wine - it's pretty advanced with flavours of raisins and cooked black fruits, but at the same time flashes of intense fruitiness in the form of crème de cassis comes through, and there was a real length to the wine too. Scents of tobacco, wood, earth, and herbs were also much welcomed, and so were the powdery persistent tannins, but I just can't help but yearn for more freshness. Ultimately, it's not a claret I enjoyed. A nil in the binary scale.

History goes back to the 17th century, one of the oldest chateau’s in the appellation, dating back to the 1600’s, when it was built by the Marquis de mons de Dunes. Mostly Merlot with intense berry fruit aromas and hot pepper spice. On the palate blackberry and blueberry fruit, almost jammy with oaky spice notes. Lingering with tight tannins ending a bit hot with pepper character and mineral tones. Good but needs more time.

Beauty wine, if a tad quick to disappear fruit-wise. Found at a small town BC liquor store, surprisingly. New tire smell - in a good way.

A very nicely aged Right Bank Bordeaux.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Showing black fruits with earth, vegetables, wood, licorice, wet leaves, herbs, forest floor, tobacco leaf, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus in finish, with grippy tannins (after 2 hours) and tangy raspberries.

This 24 year old, from a great vintage, still has 10 years in it. Very enjoyable by itself or with food. I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.

A blend of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

Omg. The wines here are fab. Wild Cherry. Soft. Pretty but complex. Heaven.

Solid, and showing well at this time. Not a lot of definition and complexity.

Found this bottle at work but it wasn't stored probably. I enjoyed it though because it was a great price and I could really taste he dirt
