Weak vintage yes but time in bottle has softened the austerity and gave way to a spicy and herbaceous Cab Franc that worked wonders at the table w/ roast chicken and arugula pesto. Some aldehydic notes in the background but nothing terribly offensive

Great wine. Huge QPR. Needs 1-2 hrs of air then fruit and Loire terroir integrates with the fruit. Acid is very good so this inexpensive wine can last.
