Pretty impressive - you need a good hour or more for this to really show itself, though you wouldn't guess that on the first taste. Fairly subdued, yet fruit-forward Bordeaux. Very interesting.

Plummy, floral and youthful. Ripe and tart, plum skin and ripe grippy tannin, iron and mineral/graphite concentration on palate. Big structure that will unravel in time.

Lots of red fruit. Very nice...but a bit simple at the moment.

Reasonably priced wine that showcases the region well. What else do you want for $25? Thank you Kermit.

There's a world -- not the "ideal" world necessarily -- in which this is the only wine. And it's Good.

Blackberry compote, dark plums, cassis, clay, coffee grounds, cacao, mint, dried tarragon, black peppercorns. Rounded acidity/firm smooth velvet tannin balance, medium-full bodied, juicy-satin texture, earthy-smoky-slightly herbal finish. Texture/structure driven, persistent minerality, fluidly transitions from nose to palate. Excels with food, highly evolves in glass.
