Tight and tough, big and burly. Nicely aromatic - deep, meaty, floral, perfumed. Chiseled and dusty on the palate - big time cedar, smoke, under-ripe cherry, black licorice, violet. Chewy tannins, this is young, dense, unyielding. High acid knocks it a bit out of balance, and heightens the perception of a green, sour, barrel undertone. This needs time. Old school terroir wine. Excellent value at €17

This particular bottle did not show well, with a medicinal overtone to the meager fruit character and overwhelmed by a drying earthiness. Featured a mean green streak as well, and faded into raw splintery oak as the night wore on. Hard to derive pleasure from something like this. Pretty disappointing as recent vintages have shown a lot of promise.

Acceptable Bordeaux but not worth the price. At $48.50 this is no better than a $35 Bordeaux. Nice cherry flavor but no earth and no structure.

Black currants in the noise, forest floor, poopy, mushrooms. A bit tired at this point, medium acidity and tannins. Smooth and medium finish. Past it’s prime but tasty.

Lovely old world style Bordeaux at a fun steak house. Thanks so much to my brother and parents for grabbing this fun wine.
This will get blown out by a huge steak and tastes a little old and aired but is great fun at a big chain steak house
