St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Welcome to the weekend! This was a short week bit didn't feel any quicker. Today I picked up the 2010 Château Côte de Baleau Saint-Èmilion to continue my Bordeaux fixation. The blend for this Right Bank wine is 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

On the nose is dark cherry, black plum, blackberry, fig, strawberry, herbs, tar, violet and crushed gravel.

On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, green bell pepper, graphite, menthol, licorice and earth.

This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and medium to + smooth tannins that leads to a long nice round finish. Have a great weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Taste of blackberry, well structured bold wine. Highly recommended!!

Monday night grab from the cellar. Good stuff for@the price. Enjoyed with some sausage and spaghetti.

Lovely. The 2010 is perfectly structured in 2019.

Better the second day - good acidity and will definitely drink again.

Smooth tannins. Classic Right Bank.

Does not suck. 2010 doesn't mess around. Also this is of sentimental value: We got this for Gustav Meier when he gave the Schleicher studio a masterclass.
