2015 vintage. One of the oldest estates in Montagne Saint Emilion. For those who believe Bordeaux is overpriced, here is another nice value. A blend of Merlot (80%) and equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Attractive nose with blueberry, vanilla and even a hint of truffle. Good fruit concentration, noticeable but integrated oak, slightly rustic tannin and good spicy length. A few more years of bottle ageing should round off the edges. Good value at 12 euros. Abv. 14,5 %.

Nice surprise here, drinking at peak. Mushroom, mint and forest on the slightly maderized nose, with cedar, eucalyptus, tobacco notes on the palate, while still hanging on to some red fruit character. Good stuff.

Very disappointing. Whatever flavors are hidden in this wine get hammered by tannins. No structure to really speak of. Maybe this bottle is off, but tough to try again.

Costco find for under $15. Solid right bank Bordeaux: Mainly Merlot with 5% Cab Franc. Smooth, easy drinking will only improve with a little age.

Full-bodied wine, strong, high in tannins, above average acidity. The color is red. First aroma: dark berries. Second aroma: bacteria/microorganisms. Third aroma: oak barrel. Ideal with meat or pasta.

Deep ruby in color; black cherry, black pepper, and plums on the nose; high acidity, medium plus tannins; tastes like sour cherries and plums with a long finish. Not as complex as I would like. Nellie doesn't like it, but she did like it after a 30 minite decant and with a steak.
