This was absolutely singing. Smoky on the nose and a touch of earthiness on the palate but with wonderful fruit and a kiss of new oak. Excellent balance and finesse.

First of the reds for the Non-Napa Bordeaux tasting. Deep ruby red with garnet edges. Nose made it seem a lot older than an 09. Notes of forest floor, damp leaves, truffles, plums and dark cocoa on the nose. A little bit of heat that will hopefully blow over with time. Moderate tannins (6/10) with a bit of acidity. Full bodied with a bit of heat and dark cherries. Long finish. Drink from 2018 till 2028.

Accessible. Big and fruity. Nice easy drinking. Too young. Decent tannic structure under the ripe fruit.

Good aroma with oak, black currant. Taste is also concentrated full body, quite rich due to good vintage. 2 hours decanting made it ready to drink. But in my memory when I tasted 1998, now is still on the way to be much more matured. Leather, complexity. 2009 @4200, wine plus - BB, 210407

2009 is reported to be a good year but they’re not doing it for me. Good, big cab flavors but no nuance here.
