First aged 09 I’ve opened …tasted a ton of 09’s upon release. I’m now all in on the comparison of the 82 & 09 vintage.

Beautiful fruit & elegance defined.

Slightly surprising wine & valve from this producer.

Understated St. Estephe. Mild, enjoyable notes. Some structure, medium finish, light fruit. 2012.

The couple of cases at my mother's house are being slowly depleted. A terrific wine and exceptional value.

Very good value wine at approx. 22 euro. Ripe fruit on the nose, mild white pepper on the palate that softened after a day. Would buy again.

Bordeaux value at its finest for $23. Everything I would want in a well made Bordeaux is in this wine, ready to drink now or age a few years. Very much Saint-Estephe as well as you get more Cabernet notes of cassis and currants, with the classic Bordeaux nose giving shades of present but elegant and well integrated French oak toast and roasted coffee beans. Great acidity and well integrated tannin that are ripe and finely grained. Thank you #jancisrobinson for the introduction to #capberngasqueton during the 2009 futures campaign as I have been an admirer since.

The age is adding to its effect. Definitely a shift towards dried and stewed dark fruit. Savory notes of cedar and violets. Tannin a little hard, med + body.

2009: lovely as ever. All classic ripe Cab Sauv, blackcurrant, cassis, and well integrated age and oak; meaty, leather, cedar, tobacco and lovely vibrant graphite pencil note. Becoming more resolved on the palate, good acid but softening tannic structure. Good

Excellent style, open and opulent. Dark blackcurrant, gravelly, graphite, stone, tobacco and ash. Well integrated green pepper and mint. Medium to full, good grainy tannic structure and vibrant acidity to back it up. Really coming into its own. Great length, and very good typicity

Screaming good value here at about $30, this delivers all the goods you want from a young Bordeaux, especially in this special vintage.

Great, very open mocha with juicy blackcurrant, perfumed with background notes of cedar & graphite. Palate also has plenty of light, open, juicy red berry fruit with a well judged lick of oak that comes through on the finish
