Rosé Beaujolais Gamay

This pink Gamay wine has a fairly rich color, rather like salmon meets orange. There is a bit of a Jolly Rancher note to the strawberry nose, and an herbal note as well. Strawberry plays big in the flavor profile, too, with a distinctive earthy tone to it. It has great heft - it drinks like a red - and a very refreshing acidity.

With food

Fruit salad extra strawberries, fresh finish, low to medium grip. Made for patio surfing. Buy and re-buy.

A bit sweet for my taste but the flavors are good and it opens up nicely. Hints of cherry

A little sweet. Still pretty yummy. My bottle had a little effervescence which was pretty sick.

Slightly oxidative style. Needs air and please not too cold. Then powerful structure and mild red fruit, something like currants and gooseberries. Quite long.

Very nice. A bit dry. Not too sweet.

Little too fruity for me.
