Insanely rich and delicious. Great with Mari's beef stew.

100% tannat. 7 yrs old and still bright on the edges. black cherries/berries, cedar, intense flavor, medium weight with a lot of structural heft. firm tannins, medium + acid. cool stuff. geek alert

Dense fresh layers of blue and black fruit shroud the power of this wine...with lamb chops and lamb cavatelli it shows its balance.

Still strong tannins, especially anterior tongue.
Dark red fruit. A noticably bright and lingering finish.

I wine I think @Ryan Colthorp would like, half tannat, half merlot. Great balance with the tannat tannins and the merlot silkiness. Drinking good but structure to age another decade.

Prune, honey, black liccorice, black tea, dried blueberry, sweet tobacco, chocolate, espresso. Quite a bit of acidity, moderate tannins up front bit huge lingering tannins leave a viscous and inky mouthfeel.

We haven't drunk too many tannat wines.

I am a cab lover, but I've given up on sub $20 cabs. This 2010 @ costco is $17! Great value. Medium body, nice balance.
