Deep gold. Nose of dried quince and white flowers. Echoed on the palate rounded out by vanilla. Firm acidity. Lingering finish.

Deep gold in the glass. Bad glassware doesn’t give me a good sense of the nose. Palate of dried quince, apricot peel, and balsa wood. Firm acidity, but not overpowering. Long finish that lengthens the palate. Excellent QPR and an amazing food wine.

The nose is redolent of peach blossoms and mountain honey followed by ripe peach and more honey on the palate. The pleasing viscosity and sensual mouthfeel are bolstered by bright acidity.

Still going strong! Literally began as a Tannat and Brouilly Gamay Opposite Day combo, chewy and dusty with a real grapey charm. After awhile the Cab Franc finally peeked from behind the black curtain to wave its fronds of friendship. This is the Second bottling from a first class producer, and just a really interesting wine.

Definitely my favorite red from Brumont, but didn't get a chance to try the La Tyre...
