Epitomizes Ritchie. I think this is actually better than Bevan’s. It’s not as butterscotch and powerful...shows some elegance. Nutty as always. Roasted walnut, honeyed hazelnut, burnt marzipan and rich salted popcorn finish. This is drinking wonderful right now. No need to hold! Awesome bottle @David Schoonover
Heck of a 3rd Friday to kick off the holidays!

13' Château Boswell Absolutely Louise. It's a blending of "selected barrels" of Dutton Ranch/ Rued/Ritchie/ Sebastopol vineyards. Similar to the Voyage blending. These selected barrels are of a "softer"style. Decant for a bit...Drink at cellar temperature!
Château Boswell with winemaker Russell Bevan are just making some amazing Chardonnays (all unique).Tropical fruits are abundant, cider with some vanilla and a splash of acidity. So well balanced!

Initial swirl and sip suggest a typical well-made nicely-oaked CA chard. Then it slowly reveals pretty aromas of ripe stone fruits with nutty nuance, lemon curd, white flowers, and crushed stones. The body is full but chiseled like an athlete. Rich yet fluid. Luscious long finish. Quite expensive but it delivered the goods.
