Second time trying this '66, it's better than the 1st, such an amazing combination of fruit intensity & development, aromatic complexity for days, & when open for an hour so much purity of darker berried fruit, seriously outstanding wine.

Magnum. Initially a 93 rating and then falls apart after 1.5 hours and becomes an 89. Lovely, classic , delicate, herbal Bordeaux. Rich and balanced initially and then declines rapidly. Very sad.

Great structure, amazing tannins and still exhibits great fruit.

Lightly oxidized. Really interesting and brambly. Awesome.

Very nice vintage of Beychevelle- which is typically medium bodied and a finesse wine. Fun to consume with good food and friends.
