Firm, gripping tannin. Decidedly dark finish, though a lingering brightness persists. Merlot plushness comes out with time.

Delightful, new-style Bordeaux. Tons of fruit, a touch of green pepper, spicy. Very smooth tannins.

Balance of old and new world. Definitely a "French" nose but enough fruit on the palate to keep you happy. Still a hefty amount of tannins, could use some aging
