Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Anise and minerality, but also has a real herbal freshness.

Lovely vanilla and strawberry aromas. Silky for a 2010 with baby tannins that will round out in a few years. Impressive right out of the bottle.

Open aromas but light fruit make this vintage a "drink now" wine. Should pair well with simpler foods (sirloin cheeseburger and sweet potato fries!)

This one's 11 old and still has it. Nose on the downside, but it still has it. Amazing palate, full of smoke, wood, meat and tobacco. Lingers playfully, with a pinch of acidity in the aftertaste.

Wood, tobacco, spices, earth, dust and wax. Bitter tannins, dark berries jam with a pinch of sugar at the tip of the tongue. Complexity under control. I give it a nine!

I was surprised by how approachable this is for such a young vintage. Plum, fig, wood spice, caramel, and slight hint of mushroom. Silky yet firm tannins. Good QPR for a Pomerol.
