2017. Confidential production (1250 bottles) of pure Malbec from one of Blaye's top producers Château Bel-Air La Royère. Excellent effort from the underrated 2017 vintage. While not as dense and profound as the amazing 2018, it is beautifully balanced with bright black fruit, violets and spices. Abv. 14%.

2018 vintage. Small production of pure Malbec by one of Blaye's top producers, Château Bel-Air La Royère. Deep purplish colour. Intense perfume with the typical Malbec violets much more pronounced than in the 2017. Layers of ripe black fruit, fresh acidity and a long spicy finish. A showcase for the potential of Malbec in Blaye (and Bourg). Highly recommended if you are lucky enough to find a bottle.
