This is the 2018 Château Auney L'Hermitage a Left Bank White from Graves. A blend of 65% Semillon, 20% Muscadelle, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 7% Sauvignon Gris.
On the nose is green apple, lemon, lime, tangerine, pear, spice, herbs, stoney minerality and an earthiness.
On the palate there is lime, lemon, mango, papaya, lanolin, herbaceous, ginger and a stoney minerality.
This wine is light to medium bodied with a fresh smooth mouthfeel medium + mouthwatering acidity that leads to a long fresh citrus minerality finish. Jul 16th, 20142019. Our last bottle of this wine we’ve really enjoyed. Luckily my wife had this in the kitchen fridge as I was making a “jambalaya-ish” chicken and rice for lunch and needed a splash of crisp white wine for the dish (and the rest for us to pair with it)!

Dec 10th, 20212019. Our favorite wine so far! Crisp with fruit and oak spice flavors that remind my wife of childhood desserts. Paired with Bhutanese vegetables in a mild cheese sauce.
