The blend is somewhat of a mystery but has Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Petite Syrah grapes, maybe a splash of something else from year to year. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits and an array of spices. On the palate flavors of black plum, raspberry and cacao with notes of toasty oak, baking spices and earthy notes. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy notes. Recommend to chill in frig for about 15-20 minutes before serving.

Smooth and velvety! Just excellent. Update 2nd night - last time I had this was about 3 years ago and it was the 2013. I gave it a good rating then too. I’m really enjoying this one!

I thought I was going to hate this wine. But, much like McDonalds French fries, it has undeniable likeability.
It reminds me almost exactly like Red Schooner, the Malbec from Wagner. The nose is very similar, the color remains impenetrable red and the hyper-oak-vanillization is apparent. Given that this is about half the price, it's certainly in the McDonald's happy meal realm.

Purplish red, sweet berries on the nose. Juicy, full body, slightly sweet. Raspberries, strawberries, violets, vanilla, lavender and toasted oak. Velvety tannin.

Disgusting. ... let me tell you how I really feel; taste like an overblown, synthetic, lab manipulated, Caymus knock off.
