HWT - initial opening tasted extremely smoky so we left it until the next day, and it was fine, barely smoky at all. Maybe we should’ve decanted? $35 but prob shouldn’t buy it since it was too much for both of us at first.

Nov 3rd, 2020Moves beautifully in the glass, Smokey white pepper on the nose. Smokey white pepper on the pallet. Smooth and spicy with dark jammy fruit subtly underneath. Medium to full body and lingers nicely. Absolutely worth the bargain price. Takes a while to open

Nov 27th, 2019Deep ruby color with distinct water rim. Ripe red berry, tabacco nose, with charcoal & vegetal hints. Low, smooth tannins and an even, long finish. Drinking beautiful now.

Dec 25th, 2018“Semi-old world” in style, but clean. Toasted black pepper, mineral/wet stone , licorice, herbaceous nose
Slight grip, med/long finish, mineral, sage, citrus pith, green olives, dark fruit ... would have stated a confident “it’s a Côté Rotie” if tasted blind.
