Charles Shaw
California Shiraz
Once in a while, I'll move away from the craft brew scene to a discount wine, and I will come back again. Nice mixture of dry & sweet.

I went to a Trader Joe’s and found the only shiraz in the store. It’s from California, not Australia, and is a good value for table red wine that lacks the body of a shiraz. I’ll stick to my double oaked full-bodied Barossa Valley shiraz.

Nov 23rd, 2018This is a 3 dollar wine. It should not be rated against a 15 dollar wine. As a 3 dollar wine, it is fantastic. A little fruity on the nose, weak palate, very little finish. No alcohol smell at all. It is a little sour when first opened, so be sure to aerate. Overall, this is a great daily drinker.

Sep 13th, 2017"Two-buck Chuck" Sorry that I'm NOT sorry for paying such an inexpensive price for some rich acidic red fruits on the nose and palate, coupled with a dry earthy bite on the back end.
