Chapel Hill
The Parson McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon
Looking to get your wine-loving taste buds around an award winning Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon for only $20?
Introducing the Chapel Hill 2017 ‘The Parson’ Cab Sauv from McLaren Vale (South Australia). This pocket rocket won the Perennial Trophy at the 2018 Sydney Royal Wine Show for the Best Cabernet Sauvignon and yes you can buy it at Dan Murphy’s and BWS for only $20 😱
🍴Recommended food match: A juicy medium rare steak, fresh horse radish and steamed greens 🤤
In the glass it’s a garnet ruby red colour with notes of tar, black fruits of the forest 🌳 and liquorice on the nose. In the mouth it is juicy with a lovely cassis spiked flavour with a nice oomph of tannin dryness. Decant and enjoy over a couple of hours with some Cuvée Chocolate (the chocolate specifically made to match wine) is my recommendation 😉
A big thanks to Dialogue PR for sending this star sample over 😘

Earthy nose, dry, smooth, dried fruit, very solid. Light spice. Delicious, tannic.

Feb 8th, 2020Color of purple with brown hue on the rim. Nose of nice dark fruits, like plum, blackberry, vanilla, a bit cocoa, a bit violet, and a bit strawberry. Taste of dark fruits note, strawberry, polished tannins, subtle sweetness, peppery, quite silky, a bit too much bitter on a sense, some grassy note, ripe cherry, a bit coke cola, raisin, and a bit mineral. Aftertaste is medium with some more peppery note and bittersweetness. Quality Cab. Just a bit too sweet for me.

Dec 25th, 2018Very interesting and complex red. I love that it's soft to start but the flavours much more fruity and unique with the aftertaste. Very earthy with some acidity. Good price as well. $19.95
