Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir

Intense with lots of character. Plums and sweet fruit.

Marijuana resin and cocoa beans give way to crushed green herbs raspberry and sour cherry. Killer wine.

The fruit for this wine comes entirely from blocks N and Q, located in the middle of the Santa Maria Bench. Aged for 15 months in French oak (25% new). Ruby with warm red fruit aromas and complex spice. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors, pepper and herbs, savory with smooth tannins. Lingering finish ending with earthy oak. 24 Barrels produced. Tasting Sample.

Wow. F'ing delicious, purity plus that power/grace thing. Endless.

Smells more like old Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie than Pinot but it shows up on the palette. A really good balanced pinot. Just have to be able to stomach the funk on the nose.

Really stemmy and showing its oak at this time. Disjointed right now. Wait a bit for all these to integrate?
