Made from Corvina, Rondinella and Negrara grapes, Deep Ruby with aromas of sweet dried berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate ripe blackberry, currants and sweet cherry with complex spice. Well balanced with acidity and alcohol, full-body with soft tannins on long finish. Nice value.

Dark red color with a copper tinge. Aromas of dark red fruit. Medium body. Entry has a hint of sweetness. Dry with dark cherry, tobacco, little coffee notes. Very bright acidity for such an old wine brings it to a perfect balance. Tannins are there, but well balanced. Excellent wine.

Nov 30th, 2022Thought this wine was just ok. Hubby didn’t like it. Lighter than expected for this style. Quite musty and acidic bite. Sweeter than I care for. Probably won’t buy again.

Juicy loosie lose your goosie. But also dry, go figure. This is a proper Ripasso made by a good winery that has been doing it well for many years.
