The best California Chardonnay I have consumed. I will say it, grand cru like .
Complexity on every level. Every part of what makes up a wine melded perfectly to create this classic. Fruit and acid like Fred & Ginger. Purchased on release.. While I enjoyed my other bottles several years back this was on a different level. When I tasted this on release I wrote , has everything it needs just needs to sort itself out.

No notes, just wonderful sonoma Chardonnay, definitely worth giving these a few years in bottle

Starting to really fill out around the core of laser etched acidity. Beautiful and built to last

Strongest showing of the ‘18s this early. Loved the generosity of Carex, but the depth and complexity and balance of PB is evident now. Melon, meyer lemon, ripe green apple, saline, stones, slightest touch of toast/vanilla from oak very beautifully done, subtle lees component. Sure this will age beautifully.

Just released. Really restrained. Very linear at the moment. Mineral, granite. There are hints of the PB richness so I fully expect these with time. I suspect the rating will change too.
