Terre Siciliane Frappato

A big letdown when compared to our favorite releases from Occhipinti. Stewed red plums up front. My guess is this was picked late, and is therefore missing some of the bright light red fruit and acidity that we typically enjoy in this great ready-for-summer red wine. Some vegetal notes in this wine as well. Purchased at Jimmy’s Food Store.

Needs food to really shine. Good example of the variety

Lots of pretty flowers and spice on the nose. red fruited freshness on the palate.

I love this wine, each time I try it.

Fruity

Smells like manure. Has a slight anise flavor. Goes well with baking Krampus gingerbread men🎄

Light and pleasant. Great for appetizers.

Pizzeria Orso with Frank & Monique

Soft blueberry fruit with earthy and ferrous aromas. Low tannin and light but concentrated pure fruit.

Light bodies and smooth with essence of cranberries and minerals on the nose. The minerals carry over into the acidic finish. Lovely!
