2006 vintage: Wow! This wine is as close to perfect as a wine can be! Albert Costa achieves perfection is his and his close friends' old vine vineyards each and every year. This "Ides of March" wine is magnificent with loads of black fruit, minerality from blue slate, freshness from the Garnacha and a long finish. It could easily go another 10-15 years, but this wine is soooo good now, so why wait??!! Paired w homemade chili and cornbread!

1 person found it helpfulJan 31st, 2015WOW! This is the stuff my wine dreams are made of - 11 years old and still spicy, crunchy, and full of life. Easily could lay down 3-5 more years. Tasted like the rocky face of a red rock mountain. Taught and craggy, sharp as a tack.
