Peraj Ha'abib Flor de Primavera Pinot Noir

Dark ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.
Fruity nose with blueberries, cherries, plums, cola, earth, wood, vanilla, licorice, barnyard, cloves, vegetables, spices, red candy, wet leaves, leather, dark chocolates, coffee and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, raspberries, cola, blueberries, earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, bitter herbs, vegetables, pencil lead and river rocks.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins, spices and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Pinot Noir from Spain. Not fully balanced, but enjoyable nonetheless. Showing nice complexity with a spicy mouthfeel.
An above average red wine. Drinking nicely now and will in the next 2 years.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 90 minutes in a decanter.
A good food wine that I paired with a few cheeses. Paired really well with the brie cheese.
100% Pinot Noir. Kosher.
14% alcohol by volume.
86 points.
$27.

Celler de Capçanes Peraj Ha' abib Flor de Primavera Pinot Noir 2015 Catalonia, Spain
Light ruby in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Fruity nose with blueberries, black cherries, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus, earth, spices, smoke, chocolates, leather, vegetables, herbs, red candy and dust.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, smoke, vegetables, earth, wet leaves, spices, bitter herbs and black pepper.
Medium minus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is my first Spanish Pinot Noir, and it is drinking nicely with mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Not fully balanced, though.
Spicy and earthy on the palate, and a little bitter on the ending. As it opens up (60 minutes) it becomes more balanced and shows the tannins.
Not what I expected from a Pinot Noir, but I liked it. Better with food. I paired it with light appetizers.
100% Pinot Noir grapes. Kosher.

Pinot Noir from Catalunya, Spain - that’s unusual in and of itself. If I tasted this blind I’m not sure I would guess that. Fruit forward, with cherry and cola.
