Black Slate La Vilella Alta Vi de la Vila Priorat Garnacha Blend

A beautiful blend of Garnache, Carignan, & Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, rich aromas plum sauce, and cocoa fill the glass as soon as you pour. These carry over into the full bodied pallate but tertiary flavors of leather, crushed gravel, and fig come through as well (even more so on day 2). Finish is smooth and long but a bit hot (although this wine hides it's 15% abv quite well) with slight bite from the well integrated medium tannins. Beautiful blend of fruitiness with just a hint of spice. Well balanced wine with ripe fruit and that lovely slate. Finishes softly on the pallet.

Just visited Spain and this is a great wine . Very similar to the wines I enjoyed in Spain. Wonderful wine.

Dark fruit, full bodied... meh

Great fruit, delicious with meat, but it is definitely super boozy. I just can't get past the alcohol here.
