Cave de Tain l'Hermitage
Nobles Rives Syrah
Good body, very fruity and woody at the same time. Is not too harsh for a Syrah. Rather Dry for a Syrah, opens up very very well in the glass. Aroma is far punchier than the actual wine. Subtle undertones give it s great flavor.

Dec 30th, 2016This wine punched me in the mouth. I don't drink a lot of Syrah so that may be part of the reason. But the intensity of the flavor is rarely matched. At first I get leather, bing cherries, blackberry, stewed meat, and a finish of smoke and damp earth. The tannins are powerful. I probably should have let this wine age another 5-10 years. This may not be the best hermitage but for me it was a revolution.
