A reasonably dry Cab. Some great berry undertones which become even more pronounced after a bit of breathing. I can imagine this wine as a great vintage. The acidity is low compared to most Cabernets, viscosity is as you would expect, maybe a touch thinner. It opens up in the glass to a strong blackberry scent, and then relaxes on the palette and some great cherry, blueberry, and light oak come alive.
I was on the fence of wether or not I was picking up oak, but am leaning yes. Would absolutely recommend as a great staple at a VERY surprisingly low price. I would rate much higher if the price played even the slightest role in my assessment.

Simple, good body. Acid M-, Viscosity M, simple flavor. No serious abstractions as far as cabs go. A simple, very drinkable wine, which for the money is not easy to beat. It is very sweet, which is attractive to my taste, but others could find it too sweet for a staple can. I can imagine it aging VERY well. — 8 years ago

Good body, very fruity and woody at the same time. Is not too harsh for a Syrah. Rather Dry for a Syrah, opens up very very well in the glass. Aroma is far punchier than the actual wine. Subtle undertones give it s great flavor. — 8 years ago

Very sweet (even for a Port). Has a strong blend with no flavors being overwhelmingly pronounced. Allow to aerate for a bit and some great blueberry, raspberry, cherry, and Vanilla Coke out in the glass. Acid L+, Viscosity H, not too harsh but again, VERY sweet. Unimpressive in the way of ports, but at the price point is absolutely worth having on hand for when you need that sweet dessert wine without the hefty price tag. — 8 years ago
