A fan of this natural red Burg, really inviting, bright acidity and spicey/earthy persona

North of Beaune and only a km or two south of Corton lies this small commune appellation on flat ground. The wine is light with watery viscosity but the nose is like whiffing a raspberry and strawberry cake with licorice shavings and with the typical fleshy earthy PN notes; first note on the palate was banana (made me wonder if I had opened the Moulin á Vent Beaujolais I bought at the same time), but then felt a richer fuller taste with mainly ripe red fruits, vanilla, very fine low level tannins and a nice biting acid. This wine is light from swirl to finish but balanced and interesting. Better than many new world PNs at same price (which invariably would have had more fruit and alcohol). Had with Glenn Gould, Beethoven, brittish cheddar, and spanish ham.

2011. Quite exuberant both in colour and on the nose. Cherry, cranberry, butter and graphite. Tannins still subdued but more present than expected. #asp

A very hot day in Gevrey-Chambertin and want a light red for lunch. This wine with fragrance nose and light finish, perfect for the hot summer. Pair with cold tomato soup and veal. Delicious! @bistrotlucien
