You know when it's pretty late and everyone is debating whether to open another bottle or go to bed? Then finally the "I guess we'll open another" statement is made. Well this is the type of bottle that is opened that night.

Aug 19th, 2020Definite fruit forward nose. Strawberry jam and canned black cherries. Slight licorice or black peppercorn in there. Light classic rose-petal-color in the glass. Tart and a hint sweet on the palate. Dusty hot cocoa and more of the peppery anise or licorice thing from the nose. Juicy and fruity for Pinot, but has the density and weight I like in my CA Pinot’s as well. Fairly simple, but a nice sipper on a Tuesday in January.
