Villa Rosa Barolo Nebbiolo

This is a nice Barolo, but not what i expected. Showing cherries, earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, green herbs and vegetables.

It is light bodied with firm tannins and high acidity. Tangy finish with nice complexity.

Still young and needs 5 to 10 years of bottle time. A very drinkable Barolo at this point. A good food wine.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show some tannins.

14% alcohol by volume.

Pleasant red fruit and small tannins. But for the life of me, if I wanted that, I'd drink a pinot noir.

The 2010 was delightful. Really complimented the pasta/chicken/shrimp dinner. Now onto the brownies and this is holding up well with that too!

Floral aromas of rose petal and violets. Black cherry flavors with hints of leather, graphite and spice. Good structure and firm but balanced tannins. Long finish.

Maybe this was a bad bottle. Maybe it was too young. This was unapproachable. Extremely high tannins and acidity . I will try again soon and repost .

Paired well with the brined pork chop. 8/17.

Medium to light body. Not very aged.

Very very fruity

Very smooth right from the bottle. Long finish. Nicer after opened for 15 min. Would order again.
