This has a deeper nose, and extraction on the palate. Displays a mid-palate warmth, and weighty mouthfeel. Luscious, suave mouthfeel. Very well behaved. Good stuff.

At PnP was good, but took 2 days to open fully—at that point it was absolutely singing! A delicious Chianti w all the classic characteristics. Really a delicious bottle — glad I waited long enough for it to express itself fully!

Nice fragrance. Medium Tannins and acidity. Dry but fruit still apparent, especially after exposure to air. March 2024.

I did not research this and got it on a whim. WOW. Warm with notes of dark dry fruit. Sangiovese grapes and the Chianti region are phenomenal and will already be my #1

testing testing....the eagle has landed....very good QPR...if u find it get it

On reception we had to try. Dark ruby color.
On the nose black cherries, blackberries, cassis and thyme.

On the palate the attack is concentrated on cherries and a lot of cassis. The tannins are moderately high, the alcohol medium and the acidity medium high. In the middle of the mouth we detect notes of herbs and iron? .... the finale is refreshing with a nice acidity and supported by fine tannins but still present.

All in i was pleasantly surprised. Often I wonder about the reasoning behind the selection of WS top 10 but i must admit that this wine is worthy of this position with its attractive price and attributes. ready to be drunk now but should keep the road with that nice acidity. Their 2013 I tried not even 2 months in a restaurant. Very different style than this. I found this bottle more lifted and the fruit is more present. 91 for now likely higher down the road.

Bright and acidic and also tannic, but good. Some dark fruit on the aftertaste, but mostly tobacco or leather.
