A but disappointing. Intrusive green pepper notes got in the way.

Nice wine but seems to be drinking quite a bit older than 2004, especially given the general high quality of the 04 vintage. Would have guessed mid 90s in terms of age alone. Unfortunately this is the 4th older bottle (not sure 2004 is even really “old” per se) of different wines purchased from Chambers St Wines that has felt off in some way. Won’t do it again.

All that said, this was nice - quite typically nebbiolo, bricking in the glass, secondary fruit, good acid. Great pairing with slow braised lamb shanks with polenta.
