A beautiful color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of black plums, black currants, light cedar, tobacco, light vanilla, chocolates, light alcohol, wild flowers, pencil lead, eucalyptus and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cooked cherries, oak, tobacco, light vanilla, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn and graphite.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Merlot from Napa Valley. Tangy and entertaining. A good sipping wine.
This 5 year old is nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly, so be patient. Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

Deep cherry and cranberry with earthy spice and notes of tobacco. A slightly bitter acidity is well balanced with tannins and smokey notes on the finish.

Nov 7th, 2020I’ve learned to appreciate Merlot more after being around it for a while. This one is a wonderful example of a well-done Merlot - cherries, plums, chocolate, dried herbs, and vanilla. Light to medium acidity with supple tannins. A little smoky finish which is nice.
