This is a nice Oaky Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County.

Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with oak, vanilla, spices, pears, citrus, light vegetables, apples, herbs and white pepper.

Tangy, creamy and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle, but this time I gave it an hour to open up.

I paired it with Brie cheese.

14.6% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$35.

Castello di Amorosa Winery Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay 2019, Santa Barbara County, California

Light yellow in color with a golden hue.

Strong nose of yellow apples, pears, melons, spices, toast, vanilla, oak and citrus.

Full bodied and buttery with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with apples, citrus, oak, spices, vanilla, herbs and black pepper.

Medium finish with limes and almonds.

This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and interesting.

Would be nice to revisit this Single Vineyard Chardonnay in a couple of years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up and removes some of the oakiness.

A good wine to sip on by the porch, which is exactly what I did.

Aged in French oak barrels.

California Chardonnay somehow rendered LESS food friendly by its "unique" aromas.

Big, bordering on unctuous. Paired incredibly well with pumpkin pie and ice cream.

Love, love the fruit produced from this vineyard. It's not often that I give domestic Chardonnay this kinda praise, but one deserves it. In both flavor and texture this wine is rich and creamy. Prepare to be dazzled by an a Chardonnay that delivers intensity and a depth of focus I rarely see. Bosc pears, peach, sweet tangerine delight the senses, nutmeg and vanilla scented oak take a back seat, while zesty acid drives the soccer moms minivan. Full bodied, vibrant and the finish is memorable. Unsolicited, but nonetheless welcomed #sample
