Not bad for $12. Decent Rose' when chilled, has a light floral bouquet.

Mr Spittoon and I had amazing time in Krabi, Thailand over the Christmas break. There’s not a huge selection of #wine choices in the area though. However one day we did find a supermarket which stocked a bit of a wider selection than the 7 Eleven’s so we thought we’d pick up a bottle to enjoy at sunset with cheese, crackers and pistachios on Ao Nang Beach.

We opted for this bottle of French rosé, Château Castel de Maures 2017 Cuvee Jeanne from Provence in the South of France for 900 baht (A$39 - the perfect reason we stuck to beer & cocktails mostly 😂).

The only cheese we could find was gruyere sliced and Snax crackers #keepingitclassy

We picked the rosé as we figured it would hold up to the heat the best out of the chillable wines we could find. And it did alright - it was refreshing and gluggsble. Uncomplicated and set the romantic sunset date mood (well a lot better than our cheeseboard 😜).

We sat on the beach just out from our room at Krabi Resort กระบี่รีสอร์ท which I have to mention was AMAZING! Check out the photos to see what I mean 😍

If you’re looking for a beacholiday in Thailand then definitely consider Ao Nang (the sunsets are out of this world beautiful!) however don’t expect too much when it comes to wine available in the area, BYO or stick to beer/spirits 😉

The description: This wine is dry and fruity. Upon tasting we observe its clear and limpid character. It’s the taste of red fruit that dominates. It possesses a long finish, always lingering to the end upon one's palate. The opinion: can’t understand this description to what I am tasting. So nope.
