Nabbed this from the San Francisco Wine Competition's tasting of their double gold winners. Spent the day using the spittoons so was happy my friend running the show gave me a bottle or so to actually drink! I never see Roussanne by itself much less in California. I adore. It is like the most refreshing yet almost sweet and ever so slightly floral fruit salad. Pears, lemons, stone fruit and honeysuckle abound. It is sharp yet silky, spiced yet mellow. The alcohol is high for a white (15.5!) but it doesn't burn, it just wakes your mouth up. I'm not sure what I'd pair it with. Possibly Indian food or something with slightly perfumes spices to it. The finish has the most of the honeysuckle notes. I am a sucker for the suckle.

Tart lemon and pineapple. Got at whole foods. $19. Great everyday white not a lot of oak.

$19 in Orange County whole foods. Balanced. Acid refreshes your pallet for more spicy seafoods like gumbo, steam kettle hot pots, etc.

Closed nose. Creme brûlée with lemon meurange and ripe honeydew. I’d prefer more acid but overall very nice. Minerallity on the finish

Got at winery a few weeks ago. Mellow and rich with a bit of spice and minerality on finish. Enjoyable.
