As an amateur, I think this is a great wine for folks trying to begin enjoying red wine. The tannins are subtle/soft in my opinion; and the aroma (which I can't quite identify, but maybe very very slight licorice?), acidity, and tannin all balance to an overall solid red wine that is good for a beginner like me, and at good price of $12.

Not a bad value, but won't buy again. Took a second to open up but after some aeration, spiciness mellowed, and Woody aromatics came out. Definitely off balance with too much acidity and tannin, not enough fruit up front.
