After an hour, I’m not yet seeing the full RP 100 point rating, but it is really excellent. It’s a mixture of traditional Brunello with some serious new world richness, fruit and oak. It’s velvety with a firm spine of earthiness. It really a sublime mixture of new and old world.

Cherry, sweet black fruit. Nice acid and fruit balance.

This will be a great wine - steeped in sweet cocoa-laced sour cherry, balsamic - but please sock this away for 5 years, likely 95+

Casual Italian dinner with the family for Father’s Day. But that doesn’t mean the wine can’t be outstanding. And this is.

Always a favorite. Mid-full body, round, dry, craving some aged cheese.

Every once in a while, even a blind pig finds an acorn... Or in this case a taste of Casanova. The difference between Brunello and BRUNELLO is intensity and concentration. Drinking both is a study in terroir. The herbaceous liquoriceyness of the region (you like that word?) is amplified in the best producers. Nice!
