Pallagrello Nero, Casavecchia
Top Notes For
Not a great first introduction to this once almost extinct varietal Casavecchia. Low intensity, bitter notes of fernet, leather and tar, but not in a good way. The mid palate was completely dead and the finish short, with chewy and drying tannin. You felt this wine more than tasting it with just acidity and tannin noticeable.
