Monastrell Garnacha

A blend of 70% Monastrell & 30% Garnacha, nice aromas of berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors with herb pepper spice and cedar tones. Fine soft tannins, medium, good balance ending with a smoky character. Nice value!

Nose of freshly baked sourdough bread, deep red, full-bodied garnacha, complex tannin structure, let breathe for a while before enjoying.

Out of the stream high altitude wine (700m) from near Valencia; 75% monastrell, 25% garnacia. The latter was dominant on the nose with it's typical peppery black cherry, raspberry, and anise aromas. Would be a great tester at a blind tasting (I didn't even get close on the region). A delicately oaked and very interesting wine!

70% Monastrell, 30% Garnacha. Well structured with medium tannins, clean finish. Nice acid balance.

Earthy, supple and rich. Berry hints, cocoa traces to dry balanced finish. Best at room temperature. Extra points for certified organic vines.

Really lovely juice. Not overly fruit-forward, balanced tannins and acidity, nice depth. Tobacco, pine, velvety texture.

Lovely acid at the front and a slightly smoky finish. Great with food.

Solid easy-drinking stuff.
