Blend of 38% Touriga Franca, 32% Touriga Nacional, 23% Tinta Roriz and 7% Tinta Barroca, deep Ruby of color with aromas of red and black fruit with hints of spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with cacao and oaky spice. Firm tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, oak and spice.

Smooth Douro blend. Objectively probably 88 points, but this is my first visit to Lisbon and I am in air conditioning after touring the city in 100 degree heat, so it tastes like 90++ to me right now.

Portugal has peaked my curiosity as of late and this was a great way to kick off some tasting. Earthy with heavy tannins but plenty of rich dark red fruit to balance.

Black & blue fruit, cool, ripe yet with nice tartness & restraint and an earthy undertone.
Better on the palate with great balance between the cool yet sweet fruit, the quite present tannins and the juicy acidity. Everything comes beautifully together.
A typical, picture book Douro red.

Nikki says… smooth jazz! Very smooth, hint of berry, not too sweet & not acidic at all. Delicious

Medium bodied and elegant, a bit reticent, complex and great with food. Probably better in 3 to 5 years but decanting it can deliver lots of pleasure right now.
