Good (not great) with lasagna. Should maybe have been paired with something spicier or richer.

Dark Red. Youthful notes of leather, cherry and almonds. Medium bodied with soft tannins. Good but not great. Tasted again on 26 Nov 2016 with consistent notes. A good representation of Barbera from the warmer 2011 vintage.
