Carter Cellars
Coliseum Block Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This is a home run to center field. Blue black fruit all night. Great bottle of wine, especially for a challenging 2011. Mark of the winemaker.

Jul 23rd, 2017Unless you own this in Magnum or larger formats, I say it's time to enjoy them. Still very nice but don't see it continuing to improve in it's evolution.

May 20th, 201708' Carter Coliseum Block Cabernet. The nose- Molasses!! This needs no more than a hour of decanting. Moderate sediment. After the decanting the tannins have subsided. Big black fruits… blue fruits appear on the front of the palate. This full-bodied gem of a wine shows little signs of slowing down. Another 8/10 years in it.
