Unfortunately it was oxidized. I thought #newworld #newzealand and #screwcap even if it’s 2011 it should be perfect...not the case. It was gone. Optimum Storage

Apr 11th, 2014Intense Pinot from Central Otago. Heavy ‘burned earth’ notes characterizing the wine. We carried this bottle back with us in 2018 visiting the region. Great pairing with pita chips and blue cheese.

Some nice fruit development and structure, but not too complex on the nose (which was in stark contrast to the 2016 we had that had a killer complex nose but was flat - probably too young). The 2013 here is a nice pairing for fresh Te Anau venison...
