I’m a fan of the “twackers” in every vintage. Dark and rich, meaty mourvedre and inky petite sirah.

Jan 15th, 2018Have I already said how much I love mourvedre? Where else are you going to find a single vineyard blend that is mostly mourved, but also has petite sirah, carignane, syrah, and others? Way young but I couldn't resist.

Feb 27th, 2017Needs more time in the bottle, but finally opened up after a couple days of decanting. Well layered fruit, anise, and earth tones.

Jan 23rd, 201775% Mourvèdre, with a dash of Carignane, Zinfandel, and a few weird hybrids. Our pourers own pet project to revigorate this vineyard for free in an attempt to learn. It was tasked to him as a Zinfandel vineyard.
2014, so too young, but the most amazing aroma of buttered popcorn and a razz tart. Mouthfeel is disappointing, and oddly may need more oxygen.
