Powerful and pure Syrah, with a dark inky color and some noticeable alcohol and jamminess. I really love the dark fruit and the weight on the mouth, but I found myself wishing for a bit more acidity.

Room filling nose. Classic Syrah profile. Excellent!

Still huge. Fruit forward and primary. Pushing towards jammy, needs more time for the fruit to dry out.

Holy bacon fat! Like gargling with the grease from the bacon pan with none of the heart attack. Beyond that the depth of dark fruit and spice on this is stunning.

Color: Deep purple with a red hue
Nose: Olives, raspberries, very light
Palate: Soft, ok tannins, ends med palate for me, occasionally goes to end with a metallic finish
Opinion: Honestly, for my first Carlisle, I am not impressed. I would not buy this again. Coravinned.

Great body and texture by day 2. Some beef blood on nose and in wine with riper stewed plum and prunes on palate. Bit monolithic for my tastes
