Ripe, rich dark fruit nose...notes of iron, earth, bloody meat on the attack. Elevated alcohol, but somehow balanced by ripe plummy fruit. Long lingering finish. Definitely better with food and wearing its ten year age gracefully . Still pumping out pleasure. Bravo to Mike Officer;; still a bargain and still a gem in my cellar!

Opened for house guests. Screw cap version, drinking well. It has been two years since I had the version under cork, so can't compare the two.
